Moving to Norway
I've spent my erasmus in the town of Volda, west coast of Norway, in 2024. During my stay, i fell deeply in love not only with the beauty of the land, but also with my partner whom I've met there. After finishing my studies in cultural anthropology and successfully graduating, i was lucky enough to have the opportunity to move in with my beloved partner, and pursue my creative dreams in the country that had such a profound impact on me as a person, but also on the way I approach my art.
Before moving to Norway, and before studying cultural anthropology, I studied photography and videography in high school, and later at the faculty of fine arts at the Technical university of Brno. During those years, I gained many important and interesting insights into the craft, both from the "business" side and also from the "art" side. That is something that I believe gives me an unique look at my craft, and what allows me to take it that one special step further. Norway helped me to appreciate the quiet dynamics of local nature. The stormy fjords, the mountain where we woke up covered in snow, the sunset and beaches hidden in between mountains, the frozen lakes hiding dozens of meter of depth underneath their icy shells. All of that inspired me further and made me want to learn how to capture those feeling, moments and atmosphere not only in nature, but also in everyday human interactions. Photography stopped being just about capturing a certain composition in time and place, but more so about capturing those indescribable feelings that return to you years after those moments have passed.
I hope that I will be able to capture those feelings and moments not only for myself, but for anyone I will have the ultimate pleasure of cooperating with.
